Last updated: July 21, 2026

Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at MyCarHQ ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). MyCarHQ is a product of KeyMotive LLC. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have questions or concerns about this policy or our data practices, contact us at webmaster@mycarhq.com.

MyCarHQ connects vehicle owners with their trusted auto repair shop — letting you create an account, track your vehicle's service history, see upcoming manufacturer-recommended maintenance, receive offers from your shop, and message your shop directly. When you use MyCarHQ (the "Services"), you trust us with your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

In shortWe collect the information you provide when you create an account, use MyCarHQ, or contact us — such as your name, email address, password, and any message you send us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for an account, use the Services, or otherwise contact us. This may include:

All personal information you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes.

Vehicle and service information

In shortWe store the vehicle and service-history information associated with your account so you and your shop can both see it.

To provide MyCarHQ's core functionality, we store information about your vehicle(s) and their service history, such as make, model, year, mileage, service records, and upcoming manufacturer-recommended maintenance. This information may be entered by you, or by the auto repair shop you're connected to through MyCarHQ, on your behalf.

Information automatically collected

In shortSome information — such as IP address, device, and browser characteristics — is collected automatically when you use MyCarHQ.

We automatically collect information when you visit and use MyCarHQ, including IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, and general usage information. This is used to keep your account secure and to understand how the Services are used.

3. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?

In shortWe share information with your own repair shop so they can serve you, with the vendors who help us run MyCarHQ, and as required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

We may process or share data based on the following legal bases: consent; legitimate interests; performance of a contract; and legal obligations (e.g., court orders, subpoenas, or law enforcement requests). We share your information in these situations:

We do not sell or share your personal information with third-party advertisers, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. What Is Our Stance on Third-Party Websites?

6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We keep your account and vehicle/service-history information for as long as your account is active, so that both you and your shop have continued access to your service history. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, or your repair shop retains its own copy of your service records for its own legal or business purposes.

10. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features and Global Privacy Control

Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. No uniform technology standard for DNT has been finalized industry-wide. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, DNT and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals have no additional effect on our processing today — but we will honor GPC as a valid opt-out request if our practices change in the future.
